New Features in Project 2007

Microsoft Project 2007 is a project management tool that lets you manage projects more efficiently and effectively. Track and analyze projects with a better understanding of the schedule and impact of changes. We’ll look at new features such as the ability to trace the source of issues by using Task Drivers to help determine the factor (such as task dependency, calendar constraints, schedule date, or vacation time) driving the start date of the task, so you can follow a chain of factors back to find the root cause of a particular delay. We’ll also see how you can view the impacts of a change. Project 2007 automatically highlights all items that shift as a result of the most recent change you make. And finally we’ll take a look at the budget field, where you can assign budgets to projects and programs.

Prerequisite:   Familiarity with Windows and Project 2003
