PowerPoint 2007: New Features

This 3-hour course is designed for experienced PowerPoint users who have worked with earlier versions of the program, and who have recently upgraded to PowerPoint 2007. Upon successful completion of this workshop, students will feel more comfortable navigating the new PowerPoint 2007 interface; enhance a presentation by applying custom layouts and themes, create dynamic presentations by applying advanced text and graphic effects, and finalize a presentation by customizing slide shows, securing the presentation, and saving the presentation.

Have you been asked to put together a PowerPoint presentation, but you're not sure how to start? Take this short course and learn the basics, including how to use the new 2007 interface to create slides and put content on them; format and custom design the slides; and prepare speaker notes and handouts.

PowerPoint 2007, Level 1

In today's work environment, presentations have moved beyond flip charts and overhead projectors. Audiences expect that your presentations will be unique and sophisticated. In this 6-hour course, students will learn how to navigate in the new interface; create a presentation; format text on slides; add and modify graphical objects to a presentation. We will also learn how to add tables and charts to a presentation and prepare to deliver a presentation.

PowerPoint 2007, Level 2

In this 6-hour course students will learn how to enhance presentations with features such as special effects, diagrams and the use of design templates. We will look at how to use the Slide, Notes, and Handout Master feature and set up a custom slide show.
