Outlook 2007: Controlling your Inbox

Learn how old standbys and new features in Outlook 2007 can help you make the best use of messages in your Inbox and beyond. In this 2-hour workshop, we will begin by learning how to compose, send, and receive e-mail messages, how to reply to and forward e-mails, how to spell-check e-mail before sending it, and how to attach one or more files to an e-mail message. Additional topics will help you control e-mail volumes by learning how to store messages in email folders; find what you need; and act when and where action is required by learning to use rules.

Outlook 2007: Managing your Calendar

You will learn Outlook 2007 calendar essentials, finding out how to efficiently schedule activities, and see how to stay on top of important dates with recurrence and reminders. Others topics in this 2-hour workshop include adding categories to color coded appointments; setting up appointments and meetings with others; and viewing others’ calendars.

Outlook 2007: Email Merge

Email merge works exactly the same as a standard mail merge except for one big difference. Instead of printing individual letters or labels, you can generate individual emails in Word, send them to your Outlook 2007 outbox, and then when you are next online, Outlook will send each personalized email to its addressee. Topics in this new workshop will include setting up contacts to use as mail merge recipients using both Microsoft Outlook and Word, and attaching files to be sent along with a personalized message.

Prerequisite: Familiarity with Windows and Outlook 2007 with an active Exchange email account. Also, familiarity with the mail merge process in Word 2007.  Mail merge skills can be attained by completing Word 2007: Mail Merge

Outlook 2007: Time Management Tools

As the demands of the workplace continue, our time is more precious than ever. This new 2-hour workshop will help you find ways to save time using Outlook 2007. Topics will include using the task list and to-do bar, learning effective search techniques to find stored email, preparing messages for scheduled distribution, using flags to mark action items, using rules to sort received messages, using contacts (including for syncing with mobile devices), and using categories to group items by project names.

Prerequisite: Familiarity with Windows and Outlook 2007 with an active Exchange email account. Completion of Outlook 2007: Controlling Your Inbox, or equivalent knowledge.

Outlook 2007: Working with Contacts

In this 2-hour workshop, we will learn how to automatically create a contact from an email message; discuss the difference between contacts and the address book; link contacts to Word mail merges; create and send Electronic Business Cards; share contacts with others; search information in your contacts quickly such as reverse phone number searches; change the tab order; store additional phone numbers and much more!

Outlook 2007: Tackling your Tasks and To-Do's

This 2-hour workshop covers Outlook 2007’s Task feature. We will learn how to create and track assigned tasks; work with recurring tasks; mark a task completed; change the appearance of a task (including renaming it); share task folders with others; and track tasks and to-do’s using Outlook 2007’s To-Do Bar.
